A Las Vegas man who formerly lived in Washington was jailed on child rape charges that were filed in 2012.

Jon Edwin Stein, 53, lived on Woodland Avenue when the child rape allegations were first reported to Washington police. The charges that were filed in 2012 include rape of a child, rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of an unconscious person, indecent assault without consent, furnishing liquor to a minor and two counts of aggravated indecent assault without consent.
The victim, a juvenile girl, reported to police Nov. 14, 2011, Stein had sex with her without her consent, according to the criminal complaint. She reportedly told police beginning when she was 5, Stein touched her inappropriately, forced her to perform sex acts with him and forced her to have sex with him. The assaults continued for eight years until she was 13, the complaint said.
The girl told police the abuse stopped for a year, when her mother reportedly was told about the abuse, but Stein started sexually assaulting her again when she was 14, according to the criminal complaint.
Police said on Nov. 11, 2011, Stein gave alcohol to the girl and her friends. While the girl was impaired by the alcohol, Stein sexually assaulted her in the backseat of a car and described it to her the next morning when she woke up.
Police filed a fugitive warrant for Stein’s arrest in September 2012. It is unknown where Stein was arrested, but he gave a Las Vegas address to District Judge Robert Redlinger Thursday morning during his arraignment.
Stein was being held in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.

Cook is also accused of threatening the child that if they told, he would hurt them.
All three were charged with multiple counts of rape and gross sexual imposition. Cook was also charged with intimidation, and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
Cook is being held on $100,000 bond. Tacket and Jude have not yet been arraigned.

CONWAY, Ark. - KARK - An Arkansas man has been arrested in the investigation of a reported child rape.
The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office says Rex Coker Winter, 60, is jailed on $250,000 bond.

A teenager was sexually abused and the Tulare man who police say did it is now behind bars.
The girl, 15 at the time of the sexual abuse, told police in October that the crimes occurred in 2015. The man, David Lara, 29, lived with the girl for about three months when the crimes occurred, police said.
Police did not say if other adults or children were in the home at the time. Detectives believe while the girl was in the home she was not held against her will.
Tulare Sgt. Jon Hamlin said a variety of reasons could have prevented the girl from coming forward sooner.
"Sometimes, especially in cases of sexual assault, the victim doesn't think they will get help," he said. "They may also fear they will be blamed."
Hamlin said, while detectives are looking further into the allegations, it's possible there are other victims who haven't come forward. Police are also looking into the possibility that Lara has a previous sexual assault conviction in another county, he said.
"This happened in 2015. There may be a pattern here," Hamlin said.
Lara was arrested and booked into Tulare County Pretrial on allegations of having sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a minor. His bail was set at $260,000 and he's expected in court on Monday.
Anyone with information should call Detective Ray Guerrero at 685-2300.

Director Bryan Singer, who has directed X-Men films and was fired this week from his Queen biopic, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy.
In a lawsuit filed in Washington state, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman says the incident happened in 2003 when he attended a party on a yacht in the Seattle area. Sanchez-Guzman was 17 at the time.
The civil suit, obtained by USA TODAY, claims Singer offered to take Sanchez-Guzman on a tour of the yacht. When they arrived at one of the rooms, the suit alleges Singer "forced Cesar to the floor, shoved Cesar’s face against his crotch area and demanded Cesar perform oral sex on him." The suit says Singer then forcibly anally penetrated Sanchez-Guzman.
Singer later promised he would help Sanchez-Guzman in Hollywood if he didn't tell anyone what had happened, the suit says.
The allegation hits the same week Singer was fired from his film Bohemian Rhapsody, which has been filming in London.
Reports had surfaced that Singer, 52, had been absent from the set in recent weeks, forcing production to shut down, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Singer defended himself publicly, saying in a statement he was in the U.S. helping an ailing parent.
20th Century Fox replaced him with Eddie the Eagle director Dexter Fletcher.
Sanchez-Guzman is asking for damages related to experiencing "severe psychological, mental and emotional injuries, shame, humiliation and loss of enjoyment of life."
A representative for Singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment from USA TODAY, but a statement shared with Variety said the director "categorically denies these allegations and will vehemently defend this lawsuit to the very end ... Once Bryan prevails, he will pursue his own claims for malicious prosecution.

A perverted father from West Australia who kept his two daughters as sex slaves and repeatedly raped them, has been jailed at last.

The 64-year-old man, who cannot be named in order to protect his daughters, began the horrific abuse when his girls were just eight and 12 years old. He continued for nearly two decades. But while the dad was locked away on Dec. 5, he’ll reportedly only be in prison for 16 years, according to The West Australian

The publication reports that this is one of WA’s worst examples of family abuse ever, and the girls were attacked so regularly that they grew up thinking their relationship with their dad was completely normal.
In fact, the girls thought it was so normal that they continued to have a sexual relationship with their father into adulthood. The youngest of the sisters was 26 years old when she was last raped back in 2009

“It was not occasional or opportunistic but a regular activity upon which you insisted and to which the victims became accustomed,” District Court Judge John Staude said, likening the case to sex slavery. The judge also said the man controlled his daughters by using his mood — and denying them love and respect if they didn’t submit themselves to his sexual abuse.
The dad’s trial took place last month, and it was so traumatizing that members of the jury were offered counseling as a result. In court, the oldest daughter testified that she just wanted to make her father happy. “I wanted him to be proud of us kids,” she said. “He was just always so angry and grumpy so it seemed to be the one thing that made him happy.” The same daughter is the one who eventually ended up reporting the abuse, with her father getting arrested last year. When asked why she decided to come forward after all this time, she said, “the damage had to stop,” adding that it was “the hardest thing I could ever do.”
Her father would often conduct his abuse in the family’s garage, enlisting her and her sister one at a time to help him “restore an old car.” While he raped them, he told them to keep watch out of a window or through a crack in the door in order to avoid being caught. He also assaulted one of the girls on the floor of his work van. At the time, he said to her that he would show her “what boys would want to do with her.”
When the man separated from his wife, his younger daughter moved in to his home where they reportedly lived as a couple. “She said it felt like she had become the new woman in your life,” Judge Staude said. The girl was still in school at the time, and she told her friends she was being paid “extra pocket money” to give her father “special massages.” “You ruthlessly exploited your daughters’ filial affection and loyalty,” the judge said. “You used authority and force in combination to coerce your daughters to bend to your will.”
Judge Staude has imposed a permanent violence restraining order, which forbids him from contacting his daughters. In just 14 years though, he will be eligible for parole. Meanwhile, his lawyer, Simon Watters, said his client maintained “his stance of denial.”
