A ‘dangerous’ rapist has been jailed for 16 years for a catalogue of sex offences against children as young as eight.Nigel William Robinson, 46, of no fixed abode, was also given an eight-year extended license when he was sentenced at Preston Crown Court more than a decade after the first of the vile attacks on four youngsters.
Robinson, from Fleetwood, was convicted of a string of 34 charges, with Judge Andrew Woolman calling him a ‘dangerous offender.’
And one of Robinson’s victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke out against his crimes. She told The Gazette: “The fact he pleaded guilty was a massive weight off all our shoulders. “The judge realised how he can get in people’s heads and that he is a dangerous man. “(That) all Nigel Robinson could say in his statement was that he couldn’t stop himself shows what kind of man he is.” She added that she felt the 24-year extended sentence was ‘fair’.
Robinson committed the offences as far back as 2005, Preston Crown Court was told. Against his first victim he was convicted of seven rapes and seven sexual assaults when she was aged between eight and 15.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of rape against his second victim when she was 13 and 14, two sexual assaults and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Robinson’s third victim was aged between 13 and 15 when she was abused. He admitted three sexual assaults and three counts of inciting her to engage in sexual activity.
He also admitted two counts of sexually assaulting a fourth victim as recently as 2012.
Judge Woolman, sentencing, imposed a lifelong sexual harm prevention order banning him from contact with any female children and ordered him to sign the sex offender’s for life, calling him a ‘dangerous offender’.

KINGSTON, N.Y. >> A Kingston man has pleaded guilty in Ulster County Court to the sexual abuse of a person under the age of 11, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
David Vega-Soto, 38, formerly of 82 Henry St., pleaded guilty before Judge Donald A. Williams to the felony of sexual abuse. He admitted that on June 25, “he subjected another person to sexual contact who was less than 11 years old,” according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Vega-Soto was arrested June 30 after an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center, which comprises members of the District Attorney’s Office, the state police, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and Ulster County Child Protective Services.
He initially was charged with the felonies of sexual abuse and criminal sex act and the misdemeanors of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. At the time, the District Attorney’s Office said Vega-Sota sexually assaulted two girls, ages 6 and 12.
Vega-Sota was indicted in July by an Ulster County grand jury on one felony count of sexual abuse.
Authorities did not say whether Vega-Soto knew the girls prior to the assaults.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA. >> A Philadelphia man has been charged with sexual assault and child endangerment on allegations he raped a 9-year-old girl and molested her 11-year-old sister when he was living with them in Bucks County.
Richardo “Ricky” Saez, 21, was confined to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of $200,000 monetary bail, according to court documents that outline his 11 criminal offenses ranging from rape of child to indecent assault on victims less than 13 years old.
The sexual assaults occurred over the last two years and on multiple occasions inside the Bristol, Morrisville and Falls Township residences where the victims currently reside or previously lived, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
In forensic interviews with police, the underage victims said they had attempted to resist Saez’s predatory behavior but could not always stop the 5-foot-7, 210-pound defendant from molesting them.
The most egregious incident — rape of child — occurred when the 9-year-old victim was 7 or 8. That incident occurred inside the victim’s former Falls Township home in the Elderberry Pond section of Levittown. Saez is accused of pulling the victim’s pants down, laying her on the bedroom floor and forcibly engaging the victim in sexual intercourse as she tried to push him off, leaving the child in pain.
Saez raped the 9-year-old on multiple occasions over a period of time, with the first attack occurring when she was in first grade, police alleged in the sworn affidavit. Saez resides on the 4400 block of North Third Street in North Philadelphia, but he previously lived with the victims in the Bucks County municipalities of Falls Township, Morrisville and Bristol, according to police.
The 11-year-old victim told police that Saez first targeted her when she was 8. She said the defendant had attempted to molest her on multiple occasions. Saez in one incident had instructed the elder victim to take off her bra and, when she refused, he eached under her bra and squeezed her breast, hurting the victim. Saez proceeded to touch the victim’s buttocks after partially pulling down her pants, but the victim was able to get away from the defendant before he could cause additional harm, police said.
The elder victim was aware that her baby sister was being sexually assaulted by Saez, authorities said in court documents. The child molester “had a habit” of taking the sisters to different rooms, where he would try to “pull up their shirts” and “touch them with his hands all about the body,” Falls Township Police Detective Stephen Reeves and Bristol Borough Police Sgt. Peter Faight said in their sworn affidavit.
In addition to the Falls Township attacks, the victims were most recently molested at their current residence in Bristol Borough and previously were targeted inside their former residence in Morrisville Borough, authorities said.
Falls Township Police arrested Saez on Sept. 26 and formally charged him with the child sexual assault offenses. He was arraigned before Bucks County District Judge John J. Kelly Jr. and is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing Oct. 24 before District Judge Jan Vislosky, according to court records.
Saez has been charged with rape of child, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, two counts of unlawful contact with minors, two counts of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault on persons less than 13 years old and two counts of endangering the welfare of children.

Confessed paedophile Maurice Van Ryn appears determined to put his victims through further pain, demanding they prove they are “damaged” if seeking compensation.
A civil case is set to begin in the District Court in November, with a spokesperson for the victims’ families saying they were worried that without potential compensation, several of the children could not afford the care they need.
Van Ryn is behind bars until 2028, but victims groups say the damage caused to his victims, some of whom are still under age, will last much longer.
In a legal letter to victims and their family members, Van Ryn’s lawyers warn they would be forced to prove through medical exams and cross-examination in court that his predatory behaviour had caused them harm.
Victims Of Crime Assistance League acting CEO Kerrie Thompson, said Van Ryn appeared determined to put his victims through “further psychological pain and grief”, and was attempting to “control his victims from behind bars.”
“The crimes he committed against young, vulnerable children were disgraceful and the victims are entitled to pursue compensation for the psychological and physical harm he has caused them,” Ms Thompson said.
“Childhood sexual abuse has a significant and long lasting impact on a victim’s life.
“In addition to ongoing mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, loss and shame, trauma from childhood sexual abuse often leads to ongoing physical health implications.
“The costs of ongoing health care for a victim of crime can be huge and compensation can help ease the financial burden.”
Founder and executive director of child protection advocacy group Bravehearts, Hetty Johnston, said the courage and bravery shown by Van Ryn’s victims had protected “everyone else’s children in the community”.
“They didn’t choose this, Van Ryn chose them, and he now has to help them recover from the injury he inflicted upon them, it’s as simple as that,” Ms Johnston said.
“His victims deserve to be healed, they deserve to be able to get the support and the professional services they need to put their lives back together.”
Ms Johnston said victims of sexual abuse were left with “invisible” injuries.
“It exists, and it needs to be treated just as a physical injury would,” she said.
A 66-year-old man who sexually abused two Fort Worth girls who were family friends has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Joe Garza Jr. pleaded guilty on Friday to two charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and to 10 counts of child pornography, records show.
For possessing child pornography, Garza was handed a decade in prison, which will run concurrently with the child abuse sentence, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
The girls' parents supported a plea deal to spare the girls from having to testify, Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Kelly Meador told the newspaper.
Garza was arrested in March, after a 15-year-old boy made a disturbing discovery.
The boy was trying to fix his computer and borrowed one from Garza, who was a family friend, police said. The teen found photos of his 10-year-old sister in a computer folder and alerted his family but didn't reveal to Garza what he knew when he returned the computer.
The boy's mother summoned Garza to her home and confronted him, according to police. She asked an older daughter to alert police.
The young girl's 16-year-old sister told a forensic interviewer that she also had been abused by Garza, when she was 10 or 11 years old, police said.
A police search of Garza's property uncovered pornographic photos and videos of both girls, according to investigators.
A video showed one of the girls hanging upside down from what appeared to be a white rope, Martinez said, noting that police found a swing-like device with a white rope at Garza's home.
At the time, Garza said he began to touch the 10-year-old's breasts and genitals about a year earlier, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The girl told a forensic interviewer that Garza had touched her more than 10 times, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
She said Garza told her not tell her mother and father about the touching and the pictures and that he'd give her money and buy her things, according to police.
