A BMX coach from Gilbert has been arrested in connection with multiple reports of child molestation.
Randall McCamman, 41, is facing six counts of child molestation and nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor, court records show. He is being held in a Maricopa County jail on a $250,000 bond.
McCamman was arrested Friday after an investigation that spurred from a report in late November, when the mother of a boy McCamman coaches contacted the Gilbert Police Department to report suspected abuse. Police said the boy’s father found a sexually explicit text message from McCamman on the boy's phone.
Since the initial claim, police said other people have emerged with allegations of sexual conduct. The incidents involved multiple children ranging in age from 5 to 17, some of whom were supposed to be in his care at the time, police said.
McCamman has denied all allegations and has retained an attorney, court records show.
His next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14.
