Paedo arrested for sexually abusing children at McDonald's
WATERVLIET -- A tip and surveillance video led to the arrest of a 58-year-old Waterford man who had sexual contact with two children, ages 5 and 7, in the McDonald's dining room, city police said Tuesday.
Kelley Z. Tremblaywas arrested at his home after a investigation by police of an incident that took place Aug. 26 in the downtown restaurant, police said.
"We received an anonymous tip on it. We reviewed surveillance tape," Chief Mark Spain said.
Tremblay was charged with felony counts of predatory sexual assault and sex abuse. Tremblay was sent to the Albany County Jail without bail.
Tremblay's acts took place in a section of the dining area, Spain said. "We didn't see a lot of people take notice."
State Police at Brunswick said they also charged Tremblay in connection with an incident that took place in Grafton. In that case, Tremblay was charged with sexual abuse and child endangerment for victimizing a 7-year-old child, troopers said.
Troopers said the investigation of Tremblay is not over and other charges may be filed.
The cases involving Tremblay have been turned over to the Albany County and Rensselaer County district attorney's offices. In Albany County, the case was to have been presented to a county grand jury. In Rensselaer County, a district attorney's spokesman said the case is pending as an unindicted felony arrest.
Both the Watervliet police and the State Police continue to investigate. Anyone with additional information can call the Brunswick State Police at 518-279-4427 or the Watervliet Police Department at 518-270-3891.
