Paedo sexually abused children as young as 4-months-old

Funny how the very minor story of a top Dem mayor resigning in disgrace after five sex abuse allegations doesn't get as much play as a rogue "like" by whoever was running Ted Cruz's account.
You might almost suspect that the media is a shamelessly biased bunch of hacks who are very uncomfortable reporting on one of their own alleged serial child rapists.
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray resigned Tuesday, just hours after new allegations that he had sexually abused a younger cousin decades ago in New York.
Murray’s resignation came shortly after The Seattle Times reported Tuesday morning on allegations by Murray’s cousin, Joseph Dyer, 54, who has become the fifth man to publicly accuse Murray of child sexual abuse.
Dyer says he was 13 when Murray forced him into sex when the two shared a bedroom at Dyer’s mother’s home in Medford, New York, in the mid-1970s.
Murray, 62, a former Democratic state legislator, has repeatedly denied that he sexually abused anyone, contending the accusations are part of a political takedown targeting him for his progressive politics and record as a gay-rights champion. He attributed the latest claims to bad blood between two estranged wings of the family.
Another accuser, Jeff Simpson, a former foster son of Murray’s who claims Murray began abusing him at age 13, said of the resignation: “I couldn’t believe it. I was like, you know what? God is good. When you’re doing the right thing and don’t quit before the miracle, God takes care of stuff. It’s just on his time.”
The previous allegations came from people who could be dismissed as troubled. That's no longer possible when it comes to his own cousin.
What's remarkable is how reluctant the Dem machine was to let go of Murray.
He had retained support for finishing out his term from a majority of the City Council and four former mayors.
This is what progressive government looks like. Meanwhile the media will treat it as a local story while running multiple pieces on Ted Cruz's Twitter account and acting all shocked by Trump's Access Hollywood tape. Meanwhile when actual abuse of child occurs, they lie about it, they whitewash it and they help keep it going.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- An 81-year-old man from High Point is in jail on a $500,000 bond after he was accused of sexually abusing a child over a period of several years.
Officials with the City of High Point confirmed for FOX8 that James Hussey used to be an employee of the city. His job ended there in 2002, years before the abuse began.
The victim came forward to law enforcement this summer, nearly a decade after the abuse happened sometime between 2006 and 2011.
Investigators gathered enough evidence to file arrest warrants on Aug. 30 for felony charges including four counts of incident liberties, two counts of first degree sex offense on a child and one count of first degree sex offense on a 13, 14 or 15 year old.
FOX8 was there when Sheriff David Grice went over Hussey's arrest warrants for the first time.
"He was advised that he had warrants and he turned himself in," Grice said. Hussey turned himself in on Monday.
For their safety, we won't identify the victim, but Grice said the victim knew and trusted Hussey. Arrest warrants indicate the abuse happened in Hussey's home.
Now, the victim has chosen to come forward.
"It is common for us to see this," Grice said. "What happens mature as they are molested when they're children, and they don't have a bad feeling about it, but they really don't know that it's wrong."
A study from the National Institute of Justice shows three out of four child sexual abuse victims know their abuser well.
Davidson County has seen multiple cases with that just this year.
A teacher at Ledford Middle School is currently on paid administrative, after she was accused of sexually assaulting a former student eight years ago.
A former pastor is in jail on a $6.5 million bond, accused of assaulting four children over several years.
"Often times people who are predisposed or act that way will seek out the children and volunteer," Grice said. "That's why I always encourage people to know who your ball coaches are for your children, your scout masters, your youth leaders at church. Research and ask questions."
The victim is now an adult themselves. Grice says it's also common for children to wait until they're adults to report abuse.
There's no statue of limitations for sexual incidents involving minor in North Carolina. Grice says he encourages victims to report their abuse no matter how long it's been.
"They are educated later, or they didn't feel good about it, or were unable to report it," Grice said. "They'll find out later that it was wrong, it bothers them, they'll report it."
Hussey will be in court for a first appearance hearing on Oct. 2.

NEWARK - A Newark man was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting to sexually abusing two children.
Jeremiah Mercier, 37, entered guilty pleas to three counts of gross sexual imposition, all third-degree felonies, before Judge David Branstool Tuesday morning.
Assistant Licking County Prosecutor Jenna Joseph said between October 2015 and January 2017, Mercier engaged in sexual contact with two children under the age of 13. The contact including inappropriate touching.
As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to dismiss three additional counts of gross sexual imposition and not pursue any charges related to child pornography located on electronics seized from Mercier's home.
Mercier's attorney, Stephen Palmer, said Mercier knew what he did was wrong and was willing to accept any punishment Branstool deemed fit.
Palmer said Mercier had wanted to enter a plea in the case to spare the victims any additional grief or pain a trial may have caused and allow them to begin the healing process.
Mercier apologized in court for his actions and said he regretted the harm that was done to the victims.
Branstool imposed a four-year prison sentence on each of the three counts Mercier plead guilty to and ordered those sentences run concurrently with each other.
Mercier will be required to register as a Tier III sexual offender for the remainder of his life.

A Gurnee man was being held on $1 million bail after his arrest on charges of child sexual abuse that occurred in Round Lake Park.
Rodrick R. Linnear, 36, was arrested by Round Lake Park police at his place of employment in Waukegan following a month-long investigation into allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor, according to Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko.
Filenko said the investigation began after a parent of the victim, who was under the age of 13, came to police in early August.
Linnear is charged with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor, and one count of criminal sexual abuse, and is being held in Lake County jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
Filenko said Round Lake Park police investigated the case in a joint effort with the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center and the Northeastern Illinois Crime Lab.
The investigation revealed that several incidents occurred over a four-month period between the victim and the offender, Filenko said.
The minor was known to Linnear and was not a random victim, the chief said.
"Some things that occur in our society related to crime against the most vulnerable, our children, are inexplicable," Filenko said.

QUEENSBURY — A Queensbury man was arrested on two felony charges for sexually abusing a child who was 13 or younger, police records show.
Ray H. Eaglin, 24, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual act and first-degree sexual abuse after an investigation by State Police into allegations he had sexual contact with a child acquaintance, officials said.
The arrest came after a two-week investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Queensbury station.
Eaglin was arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail. The charges are punishable by up to 25 years in state prison.

A Muskogee man will have to spend a minimum of 25.5 years in prison before being eligible for parole after being sentenced Wednesday for sex crimes involving a 15-year-old boy.
Thomas Dodds Jr., 41, was charged in 2015 with second-degree rape, lewd molestation, soliciting sexual conduct/communication with a minor by use of technology, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was charged in 2016 with possession of juvenile pornography.
Dodds entered a blind plea in both cases in June.
Wagoner County District Judge Darrell Shepherd, who presided over the cases after all Muskogee County judges recused themselves, said the Muskogee County District Attorney's Office recommended a 20-year sentence on each count with all but six years suspended.
However, Shepherd said the main purpose of punishment in Dodds' case is to protect others, and noted Dodds' "long history of criminal behavior," before handing down harsher sentences than recommended.
"We have here two separate cases of predatory sexual behavior, and that is something that society cannot tolerate," Shepherd said. "In my opinion, the most important reason for incarceration is to protect others. I hope this young man bounces right back and lives a wonderful life, but there's a very good chance his life is damaged, with long-lasting results.
"You just don't have the right to sexually abuse a child," Shepherd said to Dodds before announcing his sentences.
Dodds received three 20-year sentences and a one-year sentence that will run concurrently. Ten years are suspended in a fourth 20-year sentence, and it will run consecutively to the other sentences.
He will serve a minimum of 25.5 years in prison because the sex crimes are considered 85 percent crimes. In 85 percent crimes, the convicted person must serve 85 percent of the time he was given in prison before being eligible for parole, according to Oklahoma law.
Dodds was accused of taking a 15-year-old boy to the Travel Inn on Sept. 5, 2015, and performing anal sex on him, according to the probable cause affidavit in the case. Text messages found on the boy's phone show Dodds arranged times to meet and offered money for the acts, as well.
In the second case, Dodds was accused of being in possession of a picture of a juvenile male's genitals displayed in a sexually explicit pose on April 28, 2016, according the probable cause affidavit.
Dodds was previously convicted of lewd molestation in Muskogee County in 1993, but the conviction and sentence was vacated in 2006, and the charge was dismissed, according to court documents.
The conviction was vacated after Dodds filed a petition which claimed his constitutional rights were violated because "the court 'allowed' him to waive and stipulate to the ultimate issues of fact for certification as an adult," the court order in the case states. Dodds was 17 years old at the time of his arrest in 1993.
In addition, Dodds has three prior felonies for knowingly concealing stolen property, uttering a forged instrument and attempted escape from arrest or detention — all cases from the mid to late 1990s.

A Plano man was sentenced to 50 years behind bars this week for the repeated aggravated sexual assault of a child, the Collin County District Attorney's Office says.
Steven Troy Tillery, 50, sexually abused a girl related to him at least three times as she slept. The assaults happened when the girl was 12 and 13 years of age.
Tillery, prosecutors said, also sent the girl text messages describing the acts of abuse and asked the child to allow him to continue with the abuse in exchange for gifts.
The child told her mother about the text messages and her mother then contacted law enforcement.
During the investigation, the victim shared details of the abuse in an interview with The Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County.
"This child's courage in speaking out ensured that this perpetrator is locked up, behind bars, never to violate another child again," said Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis.
In addition to jail time, Tillery was fined $10,000.
A 70-year-old man convicted of sexual abuse in 1990 has been arrested and charged with sodomy and child molestation, according to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office.
Edgar Bilyeu, of Kaiser, was arrested on September 12, 2017 after deputies responded to a complaint of child molestation. The victim reported Bilyeu had sexual contact with her at an address in Kaiser, at an undisclosed date and time, according to the release.
Prior to the arrest, deputies conducted further investigation and interviewed Bilyeu, who admitted to having sexual contact with victim.
Bilyeu was convicted of sexual abuse of a 10-year-old in 1990 in Camden County and is currently a registered sex offender, the release stated.
He has been charged with two counts of first degree sodomy and first degree child molestation, and is currently being held on a $200,000 bond in the Miller County Adult Detention Center, the release concluded.
MCSO was assisted by the Miller County Children’s Division and Kid’s Harbor.

A Hazleton man is in jail on $1 million bail after city police arrested him for the sexual abuse of a minor, police say.
Luis A. Genao, 36, was charged after police said he abused a child while she was between the ages of 9 and 11 years old.
He was taken to jail Wednesday after Magisterial District Judge Daniel O’Donnell, Sugarloaf Twp., set his bail on felonies for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, child endangerment and two counts corruption of minors.
He also face a misdemeanor for indecent assault without consent.
