Paedo couple who raped children sentenced
A woman who admitted to raping children and helping her husband do the same will spend time behind bars.
Holly Greiner, 31, was sentenced Monday to five to 15 years in prison and an additional 15 years of probation after confinement,York Dispatch reports.
The sentence comes after Greiner pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child in April.
Other charges, including child rape, were dismissed against her as part of the plea deal with prosecutors in York County, Pennsylvania, where the crimes occurred.
Greiner cooperated with authorities and testified against her husband, 29-year-oldRobert Phillip Greiner, who was sentenced in February to 67 to 134 years in prison for the molestation of two kids, according to the newspaper.
Although Holly Greiner helped secure her husband’s conviction, her involvement in the crimes also required prosecution, senior deputy prosecutor Chuck Murphy said.
The Greiners’ two victims, a girl and a boy, both testified at Robert Greiner’s trial. The girl said she wanted to testify because she “didn’t want to have bad dreams about it anymore.”
Police started investigating the couple after a 10-year-old boy told authorities in 2015 that the Greiners had sexually abused him and a 5-year-old girl. The abuse persisted for several years, according to the criminal complaint.
Holly Greiner admitted that she and her husband “forced the victims to perform sex acts with each other and with them.”
The children were touched in an “inappropriately sexual manner” and required to watch the Greiners have intercourse. Holly Greiner also said her husband sent her a text message of him “receiving forced oral sex from one of the children,” Inquisitr reports.
“There’s no minimizing how disgusting and horrendous these acts were,” Murphy said.
The couple’s relationship with the children is not clear because authorities have not publicly released the victims’ identities.
A jury last year found Robert Greiner guilty of child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, child endangerment and aggravated indecent assault, among other crimes.
Additionally, he was convicted of witness intimidation and tampering with evidence after he pressured Holly not to testify against him and to recant her admission.
Robert Greiner is considered a sexually violent predator under Pennsylvania law and must register as a sex offender for life. Greiner is not likely to be released before he dies, though, Murphy said.
“He deserves to be incarcerated for the rest of his life,” the prosecutor noted.
