CHAMBERSBURG - A Chambersburg man was arrested on July 5 for rape of a child and other charges after Chambersburg Police investigated an incident involving a girl.
Bernardo Cortez-Aguilar, 49, was charged with one count felony rape of a child, one count felony aggravated indecent assault of a child, two counts of felony indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old and one count felony corruption of minors, according to court documents.
Police were notified of the incidents this May, which were allegedly committed between 2012 and early this year.
Cortez-Aguilar was arraigned and taken to the Franklin County Jail unable to post $300,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18.
